Coral Bay Coastal Zone Management Major Permits:

Tuesday, June 18th, 4:00pm – Virtual Microsoft Teams Meeting

CZM Public Hearing:
Major Coastal Zone Management Permit No. CZMJL0009-23 Animal Care Center proposes to build a high quality, safe and efficient animal care center for the St. John community. The proposed project shall be a single building and 18 parking spaces on permeable pavers. The maximum building height is 2 stories, and the construction shall be concretewalls and concrete floors for durability as well as storm and fire resistance. The project is located on site Parcel 14 REM, Estate Carolina Coral Bay Quarter, St. John, VI 00830.

CZM Public Hearing:
Major Coastal Zone Management Permit No. CZMJL0005-23 Liberty Mobile USVI, Inc. proposes to erect a 100’ self-supporting monopole communications tower with associated equipment. The proposed tower is intended to facilitate participation by Liberty Mobile and the VI Government in the “First Responder Network” (FirstNet). Other proposed work includes 12’x30’ and 10’x15’ concrete equipment pads, electrical service, and 12’ wide gravel access road along with a chain link fence erected around the tower area. The project is located on site Parcel No. 6-4-1, Estate Carolina, No. 1 Coral Bay Qtr., St. John, VI 00830.

VI Comprehensive Land and Water Use Plan:

Monday, June 24th, 5:30-7:30pm – Julius E. Sprauve School Cafeteria 

This is the final round of townhall meetings! There will be an in-person town hall for the VI Comp Plan that is now in its final drafts. The community will be able to give feedback on the island-specific and territory-wide draft strategies of the plan for final steps. If you cannot attend the meeting, you may be able to submit feedback online here.
