Sharon Coldren is the volunteer President of the Coral Bay Community Council. She holds an undergraduate degree from Duke University and a master’s degree in Regional and Community Planning (Economics) from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

She and a diverse group of Coral Bay residents got together in 2003 to form the Coral Bay Community Council as a mechanism for citizen participation in planning and resolving infrastructure and environmental protection issues. She has guided CBCC’s projects such as the Coral Bay Watershed Management project, with stormwater management, solid waste management, and other water quality components, and has worked on land and water use planning, infrastructure, and social issues, and recovery from the devastating 2017 hurricanes.
